Emirates and Dubai Chambers signed a memorandum of understanding at Seamless Middle East 2026 on 28 September 2026 to support Dubai SME international expansion through logistics, cargo and business travel services. The agreement provides Dubai Chamber of Commerce members with access to Emirates SkyCargo freight solutions and Emirates Business Rewards travel programme.

Cargo and logistics access for Dubai businesses#

Dubai Chamber of Commerce members gain access to Emirates SkyCargo services under the partnership. Emirates SkyCargo operates a network across six continents using wide-body aircraft. The cargo division provides freight solutions and logistics support for businesses entering new markets. The agreement also includes access to Emirates Courier Express, the airline's door-to-door shipping service, which provides delivery, secure transportation and customs clearance support for urgent shipments.

Business travel rewards programme for chamber members#

Dubai Chambers members joining Emirates Business Rewards receive a welcome bonus of 2,000 points. The programme is designed for small and medium enterprises and provides rewards from corporate travel activities. Emirates Business Rewards and Dubai Chambers will develop joint events, promotional campaigns and business networking opportunities for participating businesses.

Sheraa reports shift in startup funding priorities#

Sheraa, a Sharjah-based entrepreneurship support organisation, reported that UAE startup founders are focusing on customer retention and business sustainability rather than fundraising speed. Tayeb Hassan, Community Growth Manager at Sheraa and co-founder of Nafsi Health, said founders are asking questions about customer return rates, business economics and company values. Sheraa runs a year-round membership programme providing investor and commercial introductions, and the Access Sharjah Challenge connects startups with procurement opportunities at larger organisations.

British company registrations in DMCC#

British companies registered in Dubai Multi Commodities Centre increased 7.7 percent year-on-year to 2,258, according to Arabian Business. UK firms account for approximately 8.5 percent of DMCC's business community.
