ZenHR, a Riyadh-headquartered HR and payroll platform, opened its sixth regional office in Cairo on 20 October 2026 and announced plans to invest more than EGP 150m in Egypt over the next two years. The company said the investment will fund expansion of its local team and broadening of its services to medium-sized and large Egyptian businesses in manufacturing, retail, services, technology and government.

Investment targets local team and service expansion#

The EGP 150m commitment over two years will support hiring and service development in Egypt, where ZenHR has served clients for around a decade. CEO Yousef Shamoun said the Cairo office allows the company to be closer to its partners and offer operational solutions suited to the local market. The platform automates HR processes including payroll calculation under Egyptian labour legislation, attendance tracking and leave management through a bilingual Arabic-English interface and mobile application. ZenHR's technology complies with Labour Law No. 14 of 2025 and handles payroll computation for income tax, social insurance, the Martyrs' Fund contribution, end-of-service gratuity and overtime under Egyptian rules.

Platform integrates insurance and payroll card providers#

ZenHR signed a memorandum of understanding with digital insurance broker Amanleek to integrate medical insurance activation and termination directly into the platform, eliminating manual data entry. A second MoU with Dopay, a digital salary payment provider, enables payroll approved through ZenHR to transfer directly to employees' payroll cards, including for workers without bank accounts. Both partnerships were announced at a Cairo event on 20 October attended by more than 250 HR leaders and business representatives. Hatem Yousry, ZenHR's VP of Operations and Egypt General Manager, presented on the platform's localisation for Egyptian business requirements.

Event draws government and diplomatic attendance#

The announcement came at an event titled "By Cairo" with attendance including Amjad Adaileh, Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt, and Mahmoud Galal, who directs the Technical Office of the Deputy Minister of Communications. ZenHR honoured its longest-standing clients in Egypt and signed new partnership agreements during the programme. Shehab El-Din Gomma, VP of Growth at ZenHR, said Egyptian businesses showed appetite for digital transformation and more efficient spending, and that payroll was where transformation starts. The Cairo office is ZenHR's sixth regional location.
