Wizz Financial unveiled its cross-border wallet app at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Dubai on 14 January 2026, bringing remittances, foreign exchange, multi-currency prepaid cards, lending, UPI access and bill payments onto a single digital platform. The app connects the company's US, UAE and India operations through SWITCH, its proprietary interoperability infrastructure.

SWITCH infrastructure connects three markets#

SWITCH is designed to link Wizz Financial's applications across the US, UAE and India, as well as participating third-party wallets and financial platforms. The infrastructure enables customers to move money across the Wizz Financial ecosystem, with cross-border payouts supported by the company's proprietary payout network reaching more than 80 countries. The platform links Wizz Financial's operations in the US and UAE with India's UPI ecosystem, allowing eligible users to make real-time transfers to Indian UPI accounts.

UPI One World framework for international visitors#

International visitors who qualify can make cashless payments throughout India using the Wizz Financial app under the UPI One World framework, within applicable regulatory requirements and prescribed limits. Amir Nagamny, Founder and Group CEO of Wizz Financial, said the company is helping carry UPI beyond India's borders. The app brings together the company's technology capabilities with its India network, which serves more than 5 million customers through more than 360 branches across 22 states.

Service range and India network integration#

The app provides access to inward and outward remittances, foreign exchange, multi-currency prepaid cards, lending solutions, bill payments, mobile recharges, travel and visa services, and UPI for global users sending to India. Krishnan R, Director and CEO of Wizz Financial India, said the company is combining its nationwide branch presence with its digital capabilities. The launch at GFF 2026 advances Wizz Financial's plan to create an integrated financial platform that links customers and businesses across major global economic corridors.

Payout network and regulatory framework#

Wizz Financial's proprietary payout network reaches more than 80 countries, supporting cross-border payouts through the SWITCH infrastructure. The UPI integration for international visitors operates subject to applicable regulatory requirements and prescribed limits under the UPI One World framework. The app unifies the company's operations across three markets, with the India network providing the scale and reach for the digital platform.
