ROX delivered its first 100 vehicles manufactured in the United Arab Emirates from its AI Manufacturing Center in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi. The vehicles carry the Made in the Emirates mark and form part of the company's UAE Signature Edition.
Production facility and partnerships#
The vehicles were produced at ROX's facility in KEZAD through collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The project is part of ROX's localisation of manufacturing operations in Abu Dhabi. ADIO supported the company's establishment and expansion in the emirate under the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy. The partnership aims to develop an integrated ecosystem spanning manufacturing, design, technology and research and development.
Programme alignment#
The project operates under MoIAT's Make it in the Emirates initiative, which forms part of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, known as Operation 300bn. The strategy targets strengthening national industrial capabilities, accelerating advanced technology adoption and increasing the industrial sector's contribution to the national economy. Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, undersecretary at MoIAT, stated that ROX's operations bring together government enablers, investment, advanced manufacturing, technology and industrial infrastructure.
Manufacturing scope#
The 100-vehicle delivery represents the first batch from the KEZAD facility. The AI Manufacturing Center houses production operations for ROX's localised manufacturing programme. Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, chief trade and industry officer at ADIO, confirmed ROX's operational presence in Abu Dhabi. The facility is part of efforts to develop automotive manufacturing capabilities in the emirate through advanced infrastructure, logistics services and institutional partnerships.
Supply chain development#
The project addresses local supply chain development and production standards under the Made in the Emirates mark. Al Nowais stated the mark has earned credibility in global markets through best-practice production standards. The manufacturing operations aim to support technology adoption and industrial infrastructure development in the UAE's automotive sector.
